An early-20th Century “streetcar suburb”

Bellevue developed as a number of subdivisions - primarily in the 1920s and ‘30s -just a short commute north of downtown Richmond (click the History link to learn more). Today it is a vibrant, walkable urban neighborhood of around 1,200 architecturally-rich homes and maturely-landscaped yards, with a sprinkling of apartments. Two commercial districts featuring locally-owned businesses provide multiple destinations for dining, shopping and services.

The Association

BCA is a membership-based 501(C)(4) nonprofit that provides engaging events for neighbors, small scale improvement and beautification projects, and a forum for educating and advocating for residents on issues affecting quality of life in the neighborhood. BCA membership is open to residents in the area bounded by Brook Road, Hermitage Road, Laburnum Avenue and Westbrook Avenue.
