Report from the Meeting held on 11/21/04 about loud Booms...

I attended the neighborhood meeting tonight regarding the loud
explosions we have been experiencing recently. During the meeting
city officials asked us to only call 911 to report actual emergencies
and to call 646-5100 to report any explosions or other information
related to the explosions.

Several members of the community reported the 646-5100 number
was not functional and one person dialed the number on their cell
phone during the meeting and reported that they were not
connected to a person, voicemail and that there was no way to
leave any information. After hearing this information, city officials
said to go the City of Richmond's Emergency Management web site:

Richmond VA > Emergency Management

and click on the Askems web link on the lower left side of the page
which is simply a link to the EMS email address:

askemergencymgmt@richmondgov.com

City officials asked that we include our name and address along
with any information sent to the EMS email address.
