CPC SUP Application Info

The Crisis Pregnancy Center has again applied to
City Council for a Special Use Permit.

Please send an email to BCA President Larry Jones
telling him how you feel about the Crisis Pregnancy
Center's request to expand their operations in the Brook Road
Medical Center at 4100 Brook Road, behind Bellevue Cleaners.

They are currently using the site for office space, although
there's no sign on the building. They are asking to do a lot
more with the property. For details, read the application.

	Past President's Summary to Chris Hilbert Since the above application is very similar to the application they filed in 2001, we include the following information for your review: In 2001, CPC applied to the City of Richmond for a special use permit. The Planning Commission had a Public Hearing on the matter and voted not to recommend the SUP.
	Remarks to Planning Commission explaining BCA's position 2001 In 2002, CPC was scheduled for a Public Hearing at City Council on it's application for the Special Use Permit. CPC subsequently pulled it's request off the agenda.
	Letter to City Council explaining BCA's position 2002 In 2003, CPC went to Board of Zoning Appeals to appeal the Zoning Administrators determination that the requested uses constitute a social service delivery function. The Board of Zoning Appeals upheld the Zoning Administrator's determination that this was a social service delivery use.
	Remarks to Board of Zoning Appeals explaining BCA's position 2003 CPC appealed the BZA's determination to Circuit Court, but has subsequently dropped that appeal.
