Many of you have been participating in the City’s
Adopt A Tree Program or either helping to water the new trees planted
along our streets here in Bellevue.
First of all, thank you for helping to grow and care for the urban
forest in our great neighborhood.
Secondly, everyone is invited to participate in the Adopt A Tree program
for 2011-2012.
For a $50 tax-deductible contribution and your agreement to water the
tree during establishment, the City will come out and plant a street
tree along the street in front of your house, assuming it is an adequate
location for a new tree.
Registration begins July 1st and ends September 1st 2011.
There is also a short form to fill out.
New trees would be planted by Spring 2012 and each comes with a tree
watering bag that only requires weekly filling at the most.
The link below will take you to the City’s Urban Forestry web page with
more information about the program and the necessary form required for
participation. I can also send this to you directly and provide
assistance filling it out if needed.
We are also planning to provide information about the program at the
Bellevue Civic Association Meeting to be held on the evening of August
16th. Please call or email me if you are interested in participating in
the Adopt A Tree program this year.
