   While you're away-
1. Let your neighbors know that you are gone, to keep an eye on your house, pickup newspapers, etc.
Make sure they have anumber to reach you if something goes wrong.

2. Stop your mail and newspaper, there is nothing that lets criminals know that you are not home better than newspapers piling up on your porch or sidewalk, and mail overflowing from your mailbox.

3. Leave a light or 2 on a timer ( a random access timer is best), gives the appearance that someone is home.

4. Do not leave windows open... Make sure all doors and windows are shut and locked.

5. Let the police know, they will schedule a patrol to check on your house while you are away.

I have seen so many neighbors leave their homes unprepeared for their trip away, they do not stop their mail, newspapers pile up on the porch, they leave windows open, no lights left on. A welcome for all criminals...

Please make sure that you follow these simple rules to protexct your home while you're gone.
