BCA Meeting --- February 15, 2011
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
at the Linwood Holton School Library.
Tim McCaffrey, President, gave the welcome and
opening remarks.
Jeffrey Bourne from the Mayorʼs office
reported on the cityʼs progress
repairing pot holes. After a report on the
location of a pot hole, the City has
nine days to fix it.
Tom Flynn, City Traffic Engineer, led a
discussion on grant money that has
been approved for recommended safety measures
for Laburnum Avenue
and Brook Road.
Leaf collection for Bellevue was reported on
by Marvin Williams, Deputy
Director in the Department of Public Works.
Page McCleary and Fred Gerson reported on
behalf of the Garden Walk
Committee. The Garden Walk will be May 22 from
two to six.
A recap of the traffic improvements on
Westbrook was given by Carolyn
OʼLeary, chairperson of the Traffic Committee.
The slate of new officers was presented by Bob
Almond. The slate was
unanimously approved. These newly elected
officers are:
David Lydiard, president
Mike LaBelle, vice-president
Bob Almond, treasurer
Carolyn OʼLeary, secretary
