BCA Board Meeting

President and Traffic Committee head reported receiving phone call from
concerned citizen
about the roundabout at Fauquier and Bellevue.
Carolyn reported that construction of the roundabout at Crestwood and
Westbrook is
due to begin in July and be finished in August.
Discussion of getting a community/corporate membership at Ginter
Botanical Garden for BCA.
Joellen will check into the details of this issue. When Bob Almond was
president of BCA, we had a membership and there were several nice
benefits, including a holiday party there.
Discussion of having "Northside Night" at the Diamond with the Flying
Squirrels. Tim will look
into the details of this issue by calling group sales at the Squirrels
office.
Ground breaking took place for Phase I of the Holton Garden Project on
April 26th.
Discussion of the First Annual BCA Golf Tournament. Carolyn will serve
food. Tim and Bob
will organize this event. Date and time TBA. Expectation is that 30
teams can be assembled
and entered. Fundraising event.
Discussion of signs purchased for the Food Drive. They are reusable and
cost $240.
Discussion of Linwood Holton Elementary School being our first and
foremost "charity" of choice.
Discussion of needing to have printed treasurer's report for
distribution at the General Meeting
next week, in addition to a list of members. Joellen will work with Lisa
Harr on that issue.
