who lives on Amherst Avenue.
Officer Nominating Committee – Several residents have
responded to request
for candidates to be elected at October meeting. We are actively
recruiting for
the position of Association Secretary, which will be vacant. If there
are any
residents who would like to enter the election for any of the officer
positions
for 2008, they are welcome to make their interest known to the
Nominating
Committee at
vicepresident@bellevueweb.org.
In addition, at the October 16th meeting we will ask for
nominations from the floor.
Land Use request – Scottish Rite Temple has requested
permission to build a larger
permanent sign for its reading program. No hearing date has been set
yet. Bellevue
Civic Association will support decision of Hermitage Road Historic

the Bellevue newsletter,
starting immediately. Welcome aboard!!
The new ad person is Les Harrison.
Association Dues Membership Drive – Discussion of having
the printer of the
newsletter mail out an invoice for annual dues to neighborhood, with
return
envelope. Mailing would be done at end of October, for 2008 year. Cost
would
be $700.00. Currently there are about 1500 households in Bellevue, and
fewer
than 110 have paid dues for the 2007 year. Motion passed unanimously.
Institution of the use of PayPal will be discussed with John Anderson.
Newsletter Distribution – Printer has indicated cost to
mail newsletter may
range from $750-$800. It was discussed and discarded at this time, as
too
expensive. It is feasible for us to buy our own permit, for $35. We
would also
be provided with address disk from the Post Office, and be able to do
the
mailing of the newsletter for approximately $350.
Neighborhood Clean-Up – City trucks have been reserved for
October 13, 2007.
