Executive Committee Meeting
February 10, 2007

The Executive Committee of the Bellevue Civic Association
met at 9:00 a.m. on February 10, at Stir Crazy.

Present were Roy, Larry, Mark, John, JoEllen, Joy, Janet,
Chuck, and Irene.

1. Joe Stankus is in charge of advertising for the Newsletter.

2. Speaker time limits for the general BCA meeting were discussed,
and it was agreed that there would be a 3-minute time limit for anyone
except a guest speaker. Joy will bring a timer that has an audible
ding to keep track.

3. Janet is working on the Treasurer’s report.

4. The Arch report: work is continuing on the arch. All permits were
secured without trouble, $150 worth of permit fees paid, and $450 in
fees to the City. A.T. Scruggs is the builder.

5. Some discussion about plantings in the median of Fauquier. It was
decided to leave things as they are, with individual homeowners/blocks
maintaining plantings beyond what the City provides.

6. Mark will publicize the website in the Newsletter, and also on the
Yahoo group.

7. Program topics for next BCA general meeting:

a. Having a Field Day for Holton school to repay their hospitality
in hosting our meetings. Roy will ask the Principal what the needs are.

b. Continuing to develop a history of Bellevue. John pointed out that
there was a good start on the Website, contributed by Ms. Kambourian.

c. Suggest at the meeting that anyone with historical tidbits about
Bellevue email them to Mark.

d. A City engineer to talk about standing water in some yards.

e. Ask for volunteer speakers for future meetings.

8. Everyone on the executive committee will help clean up after the meeting.

9. Are there too many ads in the newsletter, relative to the number of
articles? Larry has heard that criticism. Ads are what bring in the revenue,
but we can always use more articles.

10. Irene Jennings is the new Neighborhood Watch chair.

11. Meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,
Joy G. Payne, Secretary, BCA
